MOL (America) Announces December KPI Results

MOL Liner Ltd. announces the December 2016 results of Regional Key Performance Indicators (KPI) in the Americas in the following categories:  customer service, and electronic data interchange (EDI). The results are available on a monthly basis and posted in greater detail at www.CountOnMOL.com. The results of the Shipment Management Center Customer Commitments are included. See table. *The target was modified from 20 seconds to 120 seconds, effective with January 2015. It was again modified to 90 seconds, effective with September 2015 and the establishment of the Shipment Management Center Customer Commitments. **The target has been increased from 90% to 95%, effective with January 2015. ***The target has been modified effective in January 2015. The target was previously ”within 72 hours”.

Craig Named President and CEO of MOL America

MOL Liner Ltd. has announced that Richard “Dick” Craig has been promoted to President and CEO of MOL (America) Inc. effective June 24, 2014. He has 34 years of experience in the container shipping industry including over 11 years with MOL. MOL Liner Ltd.’s President & Chief Executive Officer Toshiya Konishi said, “Dick was instrumental in bringing MOL (America) Inc. up to one of the most efficient and productive organizations within MOL Liner in the last 10-plus years. Craig, currently the executive vice president, sales and operations of MOL (America) Inc., joined MOL (America) Inc.

Shippers Launch Joint Direct Asia-West Africa Service

MOL Liner Ltd. (MOL), Evergreen Line and COSCO Container Lines Co., Ltd. today announced the launch of a weekly direct service from Asia to West Africa, branded the WA1. The new express link will further enhance each company's service network to cover strategic markets in Africa to meet increasingly diverse commercial requirements. The jointly operated 12-vessel service will commence from Shanghai on June 2, 2014, with six of the ships being operated by MOL, four by Evergreen Line and two by COSCON.

MOL Adjusts Intra-Asia Service Network

MOL Liner Ltd. (MOL) announced an enhancement of its Intra-Asia service network with new rotation of “HS3” and new Japan-Strait service “HS4,” offering competitive service despite potential schedule disruption as a result of recent port congestion in the region. MOL will introduce Singapore-Jakarta feeder service (AJS is operated by MOL) to stabilize the service schedule of “HS3”. This will help maintain competitive transit times from Japan to Jakarta by transshipment to this dedicated feeder service and reduce the risk of accumulated delays at ports. Furthermore, the new “HS3” will add a direct call at Shekou on the northbound rotation to cover service needs from/to the port of Shekou. MOL will offer a new service “HS4” to link Japan-Taiwan-Hong Kong-Jakarta.

Myanmar MOL Obtains License and Registration

Directorate of Investment and Company Administration (DICA) has approved the Permanent Business License of ‘Myanmar MOL Limited.’, a wholly-owned subsidiary of MOL Liner Ltd. on 4th February. MOL is one of the first companies in the Shipping industry that has set up its wholly owned subsidiary.   With over 100 years of MOL presence and continuous commitment in Myanmar, MOL has launched a direct feeder service linking Singapore and Yangon since March 2012.  The service provides a scheduled sailing to our customers in Myanmar with assured transit time and connections to our global network over Singapore.   The establishment of our wholly-owned subsidiary in Myanmar is another indication of our continued commitment to the Myanmar market bringing us closer to our customers.

MOL Announces Launch of New China Service

MOL Liner Ltd. (MOL) has announced its new China – Middle East Express, departing Ningbo on 11th March 2013. MOL will offer an additional weekly service by joining the existing service operated by APL (American President Lines). The service will be operated by 6 vessels and MOL will provide one (1) Post Panamax ship (Mv. “MOL Tyne”). In addition to the present services, MOL will be able to enrich service coverage as well as frequency between China and Middle East. MOL is committed to meet the customer needs by providing high-quality services and variety of port coverage.

MOL's Ship Starts Direct Service to North Europe

Mitsui O.S.K Lines Ltd.(MOL)'s MOL Precision made its first call at Tan Cang-Cai Mep International Terminal (TCIT) in Vietnam on January 15, where a welcoming ceremony was held in commemoration of the event. Attended by approximately 200 people, including government officials, this marked the start of a direct service from Vietnam to North Europe introduced by The New World Alliance (TNWA).
