MSG MarineServe GmbH obtains German Flag State approval of its ECDIS Training Courses. MSG MarineServe GmbH has received, as one of the first German training providers, approval from the BSH (Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency), the German Flag State, for its STCW compliant ECDIS Training Programme. ECDIS Training is now a mandatory requirement for all ship’s captains and officers on SOLAS ships equipped with ECDIS, as the STCW manila Amendments came into force on the 1st of January, 2012.

New Training Alliance for Chartworld
MSG MarineServe, Safebridge and ChartWorld ECDIS training alliance. ChartWorld International has selected MSG MarineServe GmbH, its sister company Safebridge GmbH and the ECDIS Training Consortium (ETC) as its official training partner for the new ChartWorld eSeries, a “ECDIS as a Service” concept. MSG MarineServe GmbH announced that it has been appointed as official training agent by Danelec Marine to provide ECDIS training services locally and worldwide. The agreement with MSG includes ETC, MSG’s ECDIS Training Consortium, to ensure that Danelec is able to offer a complete equipment training service in support of its global customer base. MSG to Provide Simrad ECDIS Training Worldwide
MSG MarineServe GmbH, a maritime training company, will act as the official ECDIS training agent for the Navico Simrad ECDIS systems. Volvo Penta of the Americas announced the appointment of Tony Kelleher as vice president for customer support and training. Joseph Foo Chew Tuck will take over as chief executive officer at Singapore based marine electronics systems integrator Jason Marine Group, following the retirement of long-serving CEO Ronald Tan Lian Huat. On March 31, Ronald Tan Lian Huat will step down as a director of the Jason Marine and its subsidiaries and associated companies after more than 35 years with the group. Company founder Joseph Foo Chew Tuck, who currently serves as executive chairman, will assume the role of CEO from April 1, 2018.
