L-3 MAPPS, OSL Team for Royal Canadian Navy Programs

L-3 MAPPS has teamed with British Columbia-based Offshore Systems Limited (OSL) to provide leading solutions for Royal Canadian Navy programs. OSI $1.3m Contract with Australian Navy

OSI Geospatial Inc. (TSX:OSI) announced that its International Systems Operations has signed a contract with the Australian Navy valued at approximately $1.3m. Under the terms of the contract, the company will provide a software upgrade and 12 months of software support. OSI Geospatial Inc. delivers advanced geospatial systems and software that enable shared real-time situational awareness for military and security applications. OSI Geospatial Signs Coast Guard Contract

OSI Geospatial Inc. announced that its U.S. Systems Operations has signed a contract valued at approximately U.S. $1m with the United States Coast Guard (USCG). Under the terms of the contract, the company will provide a hardware upgrade to the ECPINS Navigation Systems installed on the USCG Buoy Tender Fleet. The work is estimated to be completed in the next three months.

OSI Geospatial Increases Army Contract Increased

OSI Geospatial Inc. (TSX: OSI; OTCBB: OSIIF) announced that its U.S. Systems Operations has signed a contract that increases the scope of work for an existing U.S. Army program by approximately $1.2m. Under the terms of the contract, the company will enhance its command and control technology to meet U.S. Army operational requirements. The work will be performed over the next 8 to 12 months.

OSI Geospatial to Provide Navigation Systems to Navy

OSI Geospatial Inc. (OSI) said its U.S. Systems Operations has signed a $500,000 contract to provide the U.S. Navy with military navigation systems. The systems will be installed on 12 new vessels that are being built to support homeland defense initiatives. The U.S. government and many other governments around the world are committing substantial resources towards coastal and harbor defense initiatives. There is an increasing demand for small vessels that can be deployed quickly to identify and respond to security threats. OSI's warship navigation technology and market leadership position provides the company with a clear advantage in pursuing this market.

SAAB TransponderTech to Supply AIS to OSI

Saab TransponderTech will supply Warship Automatic Identification Systems (W-AIS) to OSI Geospatial Inc. (OSI) as a part of their contract with the U.K. Royal Navy. In November 2006, the U.K. Ministry of Defence (MoD) awarded a prime contract valued at approximately $29m to OSI to deliver and install the W-AIS systems on up to 77 ships. OSI is also supplying its Electronic Chart Precise Integrated Navigation System (ECPINS) as the standard fleet software for the MoD’s Warship Electronic Chart Display and Information System (WECDIS). The W-AIS will be installed in the ship’s platform operations and control room and integrated into the WECDIS installed on the bridge. The W-AIS will be based on Saab’s proven fourth-generation R4 shipboard AIS transponder.

OSI Geospatial Awarded $4m Canadian Navy Contract

OSI Geospatial Inc. announced that its international systems business has been awarded a support contract with the Canadian Department of National Defence (DND) valued at a more than $4.0 million, including all options. The contract has a fixed provision of approximately $1.7 million over three years and an optional provision of up to $2.3 million over four years. Under the terms of the contract, OSI will provide the Canadian Navy with hardware and software support and maintenance. The Canadian Navy currently deploys OSI’s Warship Electronic Chart and Display Information System (WECDIS) product on more than 50 vessels fleet-wide. OSI delivered the first electronic chart navigation system to the Canadian Navy in 1985. Fleet installations began in 1997 and continued in 2001.

OSI Geospatial Signs $29m Contract to Deliver W-AIS Systems

OSI Geospatial Inc. (OSI) announced that its international systems business has now signed the prime contract with the United Kingdom Ministry of Defence to deliver Warship Automated Identification Systems (W-AIS). On November 2, 2006, the company announced its selection as the preferred bidder for a contract valued at approximately US$29 million, including all options. The company will begin delivery immediately and will recognize a portion of the revenue from this contract in fiscal 2006. The U.K. Royal Navy W-AIS will be installed in platform Operations and Control Rooms and integrated into the Warship Electronic Chart Display and Information System (WECDIS) located on the bridge of the naval ship.

OSI Geospatial, L-3 Communications Sign Agreement

OSI Geospatial Inc. signed a teaming agreement with the Marine Systems division of L-3 Communications Corporation to pursue opportunities in the worldwide naval market. Under the terms of the agreement, the companies will jointly market and sell products including integrated bridge systems, navigation systems, homeland security systems, geospatial applications, command and control systems, and related training and human engineering applications.
