V.Group Names Traaholt CFO

Ship management and marine services company V.Group announced it has appointed Petter Traaholt as Chief Financial Officer and a member of the V.Group Board.Traaholt joined V.Group from Eltel Group where he was Group CFO, based in Stockholm. Prior to joining Eltel in 2017, he held a number of senior operations and finance roles in Wilhelmsen Holding ASA; initially combining roles as CFO and Deputy CEO of Wilhelmsen Maritime Service, then in 2010 becoming President of Wilhelmsen Technical Solutions.

Wilhelmsen Maritime In FSN Private Equity Joint Venture

Wilhelmsen Maritime Services (WMS) says it has signed a letter of intent with the Nordic private equity fund FSN Capital to establish a joint venture within engineered solutions, equipment and services to the maritime and offshore markets currently trading under the business area Wilhelmsen Technical Solutions. The new company, to be owned 50% each by Wilhelmsen Maritime Services (WMS) and FSN Capital, comprises the business within HVAC, insulation, electrical and automation including the brands Callenberg, TI Marine Contracting and newly acquired IES Ltd. The new company, to be established on book value, had an annual revenue of USD 203 million in 2013 and will employ some 1 000 people in 15 countries.

WTS Acquires Tankship & Rig Inert Gas Provider

Wilhelmsen Technical Solutions AS (WTS) acquires Maritime Protection AS,  strengthening its safety portfolio for the marine & offshore segments. WTS has signed an agreement to acquire 100% of the shares in Maritime Protection AS (MP). Subject to certain conditions, the transaction will be closed 25 April 2013. "I am very excited that we show our commitment to the maritime industry and its customers, with our second acquisition in six months,” says Petter Traaholt, President Wilhelmsen Technical Solutions (WTS).

WTS Acquires Novenco Fire Fighting A/S

Wilhelmsen Technical Solutions acquires speialist in water-mist technology, Novenco Fire Fighting A/S. “The acquisition of this niche player in water mist technology further strengthens our safety portfolio, taking us an important step closer to becoming the world’s leading fire fighting provider in the maritime and offshore industries” says Petter Traaholt, President Wilhelmsen Technical Solutions (WTS). NFF is purchased from a private equity fund managed by Dania Capital. NFF exports over 90% of its products to customers in more than 26 countries; its main markets are Asia, followed by Europe and the US. This customer portfolio will expand WTS’ customer base for safety applications in cruise and yacht particularly.

Wilhelmsen Quits WBT Market

Wilhelmsen withdraws its Unitor Ballast Water Treatment System from market As a result of an evaluation, the company said that it had reached the decision to withdraw the current design. â€śWe acknowledge the potential impact for our customers and others affected by this decision. However, in keeping with our commitment to compliance, quality and customer satisfaction, we believe this is the only prudent course of action,” said Petter Traaholt, WTS president.

Wilhelmsen Withdraws Unitor BWTS from the Market

Wilhelmsen Technical Solutions has completed a comprehensive performance verification program for the Unitor Ballast Water Treatment System (Unitor BWTS). As a result of the evaluation that followed, the company reached the decision to withdraw the current design of the Unitor BWTS from the market. “We acknowledge the potential impact for our customers and others affected by this decision. First Chinese Orders Received For Unitor Ballast Water Treatment Systems

(Oslo, Norway 31. March 2011) Wilhelmsen Technical Solutions has received orders for five Unitor Ballast Water Treatment Systems (Unitor BWTS) from Chinese yards. Three systems are to be installed on general purpose cargo vessels built at Baibuting Shipbuilding Co. Shandong. The remaining two systems are to be installed on asphalt carriers built at Nanjing East Start Shipbuilding Co. The cargo vessels being built at Baibuting Shipbuilding Co. Shandong are for Shipowner Bluarrow Shipping SA with technical consultant La Prora Ship Management.
