Dellner provides a range of clutch and braking products for the inland (brown water) and coastal workboat markets. Dellner products are used in a wide range of workboats including tugs, fishing boats and coast guard vessels. New Pipelaying Vessel to Have Huisman Equipment
Pipe-laying equipment from the Dutch company Huisman Equipment has been ordered by Lloyd Werft Bremerhaven for CEONA's new ship. Work has started at Lloyd Werft Bremerhaven AG on the multi-functional offshore construction vessel and pipelaying platform Ceona Amazon for London-based shipping company Ceona. The 33,000 gt DP2-equiipped newbuilding, 199.4 m long, 32.2 m wide and drawing 7.5 m, will be part of a new generation of vessels in the Ceona fleet, and she is due to enter service in late 2014.
Keppel Shipyard Nets Two Contracts Worth S$170 Million
Keppel Shipyard Limited (Keppel Shipyard), a wholly owned subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine (Keppel O&M), has secured new contracts totalling S$170 million for two fast-track projects. The new jobs comprise completing a Pipe Laying Vessel for Saipem S.p.A (Saipem) and converting a Floating, Storage and Offloading (FSO) vessel for Bumi Armada Berhad (Bumi Armada). Sparrows Offshore to Increase U.S. Workforce
Sparrows Offshore LLC (formerly Energy Cranes LLC), the Houston-based offshore crane, fluid power and pipe-laying equipment specialist, has signed contracts in 2010 worth more than $8m. With the new work, the company plans to increase its U.S. workforce by six percent, creating onshore and offshore jobs in the group's Houston and Louisiana operating bases. The new contracts cover crane refurbishment projects for long-term rental projects and new crane sales internationally and in the Gulf of Mexico and have been awarded by customers including Shell, Chevron, Apache, Total, Superior Energy, Transocean, EOG, Nippon, Maritech, Northstar and K-Mesco.
