Tech File: GF Piping Systems Launches Fire-retardant Pipe Jacket System
GF Piping Systems launched HEAT-FIT at Seatrade Cruise Global in Miami, debuting a lightweight, corrosion-free, and efficient thermoplastic piping system. With the HEAT-FIT Jacket System, GF Piping Systems offers a solution that introduces thermoplastic piping systems into essential applications (L3) onboard cruise ships, merchant vessels, and offshore platforms. HEAT-FIT is compatible with the ecoFIT range of polyethylene pipes and fittings designed for industrial applications and water and wastewater treatment.
DNV GL'S Synergi Water Models Open Channel Flow
With the new release of Synergi Water software, water network engineers can model open channel flow, providing a more efficient and time saving design process with more accurate results. Many water systems include a network of open channels to transport water, particularly from collection systems to treatment plants. Planners and engineers need to model these systems along with their closed pipe networks in order to optimize the design and operations. Until now, some users have refrained from modelling open channels while others have used models in two separate software systems to model the water flow in both closed pipe networks and in open channels. This can be a cumbersome and time-consuming process.
Stateview - New Leak Detection Tool
District energy specialists Mittel launches new version of its advanced leak detecting system Stateview. Swedish district energy infrastructure specialists Mittel Group announced the launch of a new version of Stateview, the group’s advanced system for detecting leaks in district energy systems. Among improvements in the new Stateview System II is a ten-fold increase of the wireless reach to 1,000 metres, giving field workers a much improved work environment. Stateview is a portable diagnostic tool for district energy pipe networks.
