History was made at ABP’s Port of Teignmouth with the visit of its first ever cruise ship. The Hebridean Princess, a luxury cruise ship, arrived from Dartmouth carrying 50 passengers. They were welcomed by the town officials before embarking on a day trip around Teignmouth, which included a visit to Compton Castle. The cruise ship departed Teignmouth in the evening, to the sounds of a sea shanty group bidding them farewell. It may be the first cruise call but the Port of Teignmouth is a thriving facility handling more than 400,000 tonnes of cargo each year and playing a key role in the supply chains of regional industries.
