Chesapeake Ranger Tugs Under New Ownership
Grasonville, Md. — Fluid Motion has announced a transition in the representation of its Ranger Tugs dealership in the Chesapeake region, which will provide many benefits to the area's trailerable yacht enthusiasts. Mark and Tony Schulstad, owners of Mass Enterprises and Cutwater Marine Sales, have acquired Chesapeake Ranger Tugs, formerly owned by Chuck Wistar. Cutwater Marine Sales is part of a yacht dealership based in Grasonville, Md., and Mark will retain the Chesapeake Ranger Tugs office in Annapolis, Md. Both locations will give customers access to Ranger Tug and Cutwater Yacht models. In addition to keeping the Annapolis office operational, Chuck Wistar will remain part of the organization in a sales, marketing and strategic planning role.
Ranger Tugs Delivers 100th R29
Wefings Marine Celebrates Sale of the First and 100th R29. Ranger Tugs is pleased to announce the delivery of the 100th Ranger Tug 29 to her new owners. The 100th boat was sold by Marc Grove, owner of Wefings Marine, the Apalachicola, Florida-based Ranger Tugs dealer. Marc was also responsible for the sale of the first R29 in 2009 which was also Wefings Marine’s 100th anniversary year. The R29 was introduced in 2009 and has remained a popular model of the trailerable trawlers since her debut. Marc sold the 100th hull at the 2011 Ft.
Ranger Tugs Introduces 31' Model
Fluid Motion, LLC, the designers and builders of Ranger Tugs have introduced the newest model in the fleet—the Ranger 31. The new R31 will debut this month at the Seattle Boat Show in the Stadium Exhibition Center, January 26-Feburary 5. Hull #2 is expected to make the East Coast debut at the Miami International Boat Show, February 16-20 at Sea Isle Marina on Biscayne Bay. The R31 shares many of the features and qualities of her smaller sisterships but some notable additions to this larger model make her ideal for extended cruising while still being a trailerable trawler.
Ranger Tugs: Kirk Hawley Appointed Sales Manager
Ranger Tugs announces the appointment of Kirk Hawley to the position of Sales Manager for the 21-29 foot trailerable boats built by Fluid Motion. Kirk will assume his new position at the end of August and will be based at the company’s headquarters in Kent, WA. Chesapeake Ranger Tugs Introduces the New Ranger R27
Chesapeake Ranger Tugs announced the all new Ranger Tugs R27, a fully-equipped cruising vessel that continues the Ranger Tugs tradition of creating trailerable seaworthy tugs. “Ranger Tugs has done it again,” said Chuck Wistar of Chesapeake Ranger Tugs. “The new R27 is the perfect choice for cruising in this region thanks to its shallow draft, comfortable interior, and solid engineering. The R27 shares many of the same characteristics as her larger sistership, the Ranger 29, and hits the mark with an attractive design and technical upgrades. The new R27 features an expanded cockpit and aft deck or “back porch.” With nearly 50 square feet, it provides 25% more cockpit space than the popular Ranger 25.
