Gothenburg, Rotterdam New Service Begins

The opening of a new freight service to Rotterdam is a welcome development, presenting further opportunities for Swedish industry. The company behind the new service is the ro-ro* carrier CLdN, whose vessels will call at the Port of Gothenburg twice a week. A new freight service has been introduced between Gothenburg and the continent, operated by Luxembourg-based ro-ro company CLdN. Laborde Repowers RO RO Cargo Carriers

The on-time delivery of freight is something businesses depend on to be successful. That's why Laborde Products recently put a second pair of Mitsubishi engines in service in Nassau, Bahamas for the Ro Ro Company. This company carries cargo throughout the Bahamas and Caribbean. The first boat repowered was the 165' KCT, which has a pair of Mitsubishi S6R-Y2MPTK engines rated 630 hp at 1,600 rpm installed. The second vessel, the 190' Vi-Nais, has a pair of S6R2-MPTK2 engines rated 927 hp at 1,400 rpm installed.

Höegh Realigns

After posting strong results for 2004, Leif Höegh & Co. Limited announced today that the company has completed the final phase of its corporate re-alignment by merging all aspects of its Ro/Ro operations in Höegh Autoliners. Supported by significant investment capital Höegh Autoliners will be focused on growth. Further newbuilding opportunities will be pursued and the last non-core vessels have been sold. - Höegh Autoliners – a fully integrated Ro/Ro company focused on execution of a substantial and capital intensive customer driven growth plan. - Höegh LNG – expanding its fully integrated business model to encompass large and complex mid-stream projects. § Höegh Fleet Services will provide ship management for Ro/RO and LNG vessels as before.
