Royal IHC Buys Into Rotterdam Offshore Group

Royal IHC has announced its acquisition of 50% of the share capital of Rotterdam Offshore Group (ROG). The agreement will enable IHC to strengthen its ship repair and conversion capabilities with the addition of a dedicated facility in Rotterdam, which has uninterrupted access to open sea. Rotterdam Offshore Group has a strong reputation in the worldwide maritime and offshore industry for dockside and on-site services. Located in Rotterdam, ROG has lay-by facilities for vessels up to 300m, heavy-lift crane capacity, a large yard area and a fully equipped workshop. The company has repeatedly facilitated conversion, ship repair and (de)mobilisation projects for some of the largest and most significant players in the offshore, dredging and maritime industries.

Rotterdam Offshore Expands Operational Capabilities

As of January 2017, Rotterdam Offshore Group has started to upgrade their facilities in the Waalhaven, Rotterdam. ROG has acquired the neighbouring land and buildings to their existing premises allowing the significant expansion of their quayside, storage as well as office capabilities. ROG will now be able to accommodate vessels up to 320 m in length where previously the maximum vessel length was 200 m. In March 2017, the project to demolish the existing company buildings will begin and the construction of the new state of the art office and workshop will start. Serdijn Ship Repair Renamed ROG Ship Repair BV

Serdijn Ship Repair has changed its name to ROG Ship Repair BV. As one of the leading ship repair companies, the yard in located in central, easy accessible and strategic location in the main port of Rotterdam. The terminal is a recognized port facility as required by the ISPS code, whereas efficient in and out “open sea” access is guaranteed due to being west of all bridges. "This change represents more than just a new name," according to Martin van Leest, Managing Director of ROG Ship Repair. The Rotterdam-based terminal has in and out open sea access. Alongside the jetties there are lay-by facilities for (marine, sea-going and Jack Up) vessels up to 19m length, 6m breadth and 9.5 m draft.

SSR, Zwagerman Form Joint Repair/Build Group

Serdijn Ship Repair (SSR) and Zwagerman Offshore Services join forces into a new company under the name Rotterdam Offshore Group BV (ROG). Both companies have a strong reputation for finding innovative solutions for complex jobs. Their ideas and activities are complementary, so a complete portfolio can be offered to clients. Alongside the jetties there are lay-by facilities for vessels up to 190 mtr and 9,5 mtr of depth, with sufficient crane capacity.
