Expro Awarded Subsea Services Contract in China

International oilfield service company, Expro, has been awarded a $4.5 (£2.9) million one year contract for the supply of 7 3/8” completion landing string services in China. Work will commence this month, and as part of the contract, Expro will supply a 7 3/8” 10k direct hydraulic (DH) completion landing string system and a set of topside and DH controls. This will be the latest DH operation in China following previous successful campaigns on other horizontal tree developments. Expro’s subsea safety systems provides in-riser landing strings for well interventions and completions.

Expro Wins Maersk Oil Contract

Expro won a multi-million dollar contract with Maersk Oil. The contract involves providing surface well testing, clean-up services and large bore subsea safety systems for Maersk Oil UK’s contracted mobile offshore drilling unit(s) in the UK North Sea. Running for the duration of three years with a possible two year extension, the contract has a value of £3.2 million. UK business development manager Tim Horsfall said: “Over the past few years, our team has built up a strong relationship with Maersk Oil and this contract award further cements this. More importantly it allows us to continue supporting Maersk Oil UK’s North Sea operations.”…

Expro Wins Hess Australia Appraisal Drilling Contract

Leading international oilfield services company Expro, has secured a contract worth in excess of $6 million (£3.7 million) with Hess Australia for an appraisal drilling campaign off the North West Shelf of Western Australia. The contract is due to commence in quarter four 2011 and the Jack Bates semi submersible drilling rig will be used to undertake the campaign through mid-2012. The project will involve the deployment of Expro’s well testing, subsea, slickline, fluids and sampling and wet gas meter capabilities.
