FleetWeather Ocean Services, experts in business intelligence and analytics for the commercial shipping industry, today opened its doors under a new name and new brand: Accuritas Global Solutions…A business intelligence and analytics company. Executive Vice President Jess Hurwitz announced the name change reflecting continued focus and growth in providing industry-unique business intelligence, analytics and consulting services, and expansion from working within the commercial shipping industry to other modes of global transportation. The new name is effective immediately. “For the past several years, we have expanded the services we provide to the marine industry to meet the needs of our clients,” stated Jess Hurwitz, Accuritas’ Executive Vice President and CTO.

Morten Nystad will step down as senior vice president of Odfjell Tankers after 35 years with the company. His departure is effective immediately. Nystad has held various management positions during his tenure at Odfjell, serving within the company’s chartering department in Bergen and other locations. Nystad’s exit follows the departure of president and CEO Jan A. Hammer in December 2014 “due to different views on the strategic direction for the company”. Hammer was replaced by interim president and CEO Tore Jakobsen, who will be succeeded by Kristian Verner Mørch from August 1, 2015.

The board of directors of Odfjell SE has appointed Kristian Mørch as the company's new president and CEO. He will succeed current president and CEO Tore Jakobsen by November 1, 2015. Mørch is a Danish citizen and presently holds the position as co-CEO of Clipper Group. He has previously been COO of Maersk Tankers, and has also held other management positions in A.P. Moller-Maersk. Mørch holds an MBA from IMD (Switzerland), and is an AMP graduate from Harvard Business School. He has been a member of the Board of Odfjell SE since May 2014.
