Le Havre Utilizes Transas Simulator

Pilotage Maritimes du Havre, the famous French pilot station, has chosen a Transas bridge simulator to be used for training professional seafarers at their premises. The contract for supplying and installing the simulator, as well as for dedicated Instructor training, has been secured by Transas Europe GmbH, the official representative of the Transas Group in Western Europe, in close cooperation with Electronic Equipment S.A., their local partner in France. Transas VTS Chosen for Offshore Wind Farm Project

The German aids-to-navigation-service, WSD Nord-West/WSA Emden, has decided to install Transas shore-based Vessel Traffic Service (VTS) technology on board the first research platform for planned Offshore Wind Farms. The VTS technology will enable the authorities to survey and assess the navigational traffic density in the German North Sea. Navi-Trainer 4000 Installed in Tenerife

Transas Europe GmbH has successfully commissioned a Navi-Trainer 4000 Fishing Simulation System combined with TGS 4100 GMDSS Simulation System and ERS 4000 Simulation System at Tenerife, Spain. This procurement provides the largest simulator on the island of Tenerife. The new simulator, installed at Instituto de Formacion Maritimo Pesquero de Tenerife, includes one GMDSS instructor station and eight trainee stations, as well as one navigational instructor station with one main bridge. The main bridge comprises three-channel visualization, plus numerous dedicated hardware and software modules for items such as Navaids, Complete Fishing Station, Conning Display, ECDIS and a GMDSS Station.

Transas Debuts ECDIS Breakthrough at Euronaval

On October, 23-27 Transas Europe GmbH will take part in Euronaval 2006 exhibition, which is now one of the leading international trade fairs for naval defense. During the show Transas will demonstrate its up-to-date Navi-Sailor 3100 ECDIS, the first one in the world to have been adapted to naval needs. This product results from Transas’ long standing experience in the field of marine navigational systems, software and electronic vector cartography, and is capable of meeting the demands and requirements of the professional navigator. Last year Transas Europe GmbH became the part of the winning team to supply a new suite of Navigation systems to the entire German Navy fleet.

Transas Navi-Sailor 3000 on German Navy Vessels

Transas Europe GmbH, the European representative of Transas Group, is part of the team that will supply a new suite of navigational systems to the entire German Navy fleet. The contract to equip all the German Navy ships was awarded to a group of companies led by ET Marinesysteme GmbH as prime contractor, an equally shared joint venture between EADS and Thales. The final contract was raised by the Federal Office of Defence Technology and Procurement (BWB) and signed in September 2005 for the system supply to start later this year and to be completed in 2009. The navigational suite for almost 100 ships will consist of Transas Navi-Sailor 3000 ECDIS, (U)AIS-Transponders of Saab Transpondertech AB and navigational ARPA Radars, supplied by Sperry Marine BV.
