AVEVA announced that the Dragon Offshore Industries LLC (Part of QGM Group), Hamriyah free zone port, Sharjah, has selected AVEVA’s Marine Solution to use throughout all project lifecycles from estimation, through initial and detailed design, to the fabrication and final assembly.
QGM Group was formed initially to provide engineering and turnkey construction and project Management services to the oil and gas sector, operators and contracting companies. Over the years it has expanded considerably and now has extensive experience in jack up rig construction, rebuild, modification, in addition to ship repairs and maintenance, which underpinned its decision to look for a new solution.
AVEVA Marine will be used following training, on the current ongoing new build jack up projects ‘Thule Energy’ and ‘Thule Force’. These new build projects are in addition to the ‘Thule Power’ jack up, the reconstruction of the ‘Ex AD 19’, to deliver enhanced operating capability and state of the art drilling systems. These projects are for Thule Drilling of Norway and are valued at $355m.
Mr. Tony Bromham of Dragon Offshore comments:
