Opening of the Seagull Japan Office

Seagull AS announced the opening of their new office in Yokohama, Japan, bringing the total number of Seagull offices worldwide to seven.

The chairman of Seagull AS, Oscar Johansen, formally opened the Yokohama office on March 15, 2009. Toshinobu Yamasaki, a graduate of Yuge National College of Merchant Marine, will be heading the new Asian office. With more than 20 years experience in the maritime field, Yamasaki will be a valuable addition to the Seagull team.

Seagull AS is a specialist in computer based training for the maritime industry, offering the Seagull Training System that includes a comprehensive onboard library of seafarer training modules, organized by the Seagull Training Administrator, and integrated with the features of the Competence Manager, Competence Evaluation System and Onboard Training Courses.

Headquartered in Horten, Norway, Seagull maintains subsidiaries in Singapore, Greece, the United States, UK, Poland, and now in Japan.
