Global Announces New Vice Presidents

Global Industries, Ltd. announced that it has appointed three to vice presidential positions. Eddie J. Evans has been named to the position of Vice President - Health and Safety. This new position reflects the importance Global places on safety in the workplace and its integral role in Global's success. Mr. Evans joined Global in January 1998 as Corporate Director of Safety responsible for all safety and health measures worldwide. He came to Global from J. Ray McDermott Morgan City Operations where he directed or managed safety, risk insurance, and personnel matters. Evans brings over twenty-four years experience in marine engineering and construction. The position will be based in Carlyss.

Global also announced the appointment of James F. Gallagher to the position of area vice president -West Africa. Gallagher joined Global in 1995 as International Projects and Proposals Manager. In 1997 he was named director - special services division and in 1998 transferred to the Middle East as manager of offshore construction division, Middle East, and Southeast Asia. He has over twenty-five years experience in the offshore and heavy civil construction industry and has held management level positions with Santa Fe Engineering & Construction, McDermott International, and Offshore Pipelines, Inc. Gallagher has resident experience in the Middle East, the North Sea, and Southeast Asia. The position will be based in Houston.

Richard D. Porter has been appointed to the position of area vice president - Middle East/India. Porter joined Global in February 1997 as senior project manager in the West Africa Division. In September 1999, he was named area manager for the West Africa Division. Porter has managed numerous international projects and has resident experience in Belgium, England, Scotland, U.A.E., Egypt, Singapore, and South Korea. He has over 25 years marine engineering and offshore construction experience. Porter will be relocating to the Middle East in the near future from Houston.
