Russian Trawler Hits Bering Sea Iceberg, Crew Rescued

A Russian fishing trawler sinks after hitting an iceberg in the Bering Sea, all 91 persons on board rescued

The unnamed Russian fishing vessel  went down after crashing into an iceberg in Bering Sea, but all the 91 people on board have been rescued.

The accident ocurred about 600 km southwest of Dezhnev Cape, the Interfax news agency quoted emergency authorities as saying.

The collision created a hole in the hull of the trawler, which led to the vessel's capsizing, according to the report.

A passing ship evacuated the 91-member crew in time, and none of them was injured.
