Fourth & Fifth Z-drive Towboat from Master Marine
In August and September respectively, Marquette Transportation Co. took delivery of the fourth and fifth 2,000-hp Z-drive towboat from Master Marine, Inc., Bayou La Batre, Ala. The 78 x 34 x11-ft. St. Peter was designed by Frank Basile of Entech & Associates, Houma, La., for Marquette’s Gulf-Inland division, based in Harahan, La. InterManager Welcomes New Protection for Seafarers
InterManager said it welcomes the adoption of new measures to protect seafarers against abandonment. Amendments to the Maritime Labour Convention 2006, agreed at a meeting of the International Labour Organization in Geneva last week, will ensure the provision of financial security systems to assist seafarers in the event of their abandonment and for compensation for seafarers’ contractual claims for death and personal injury.

KOTUG Australia and Teekay Shipping Australia Pty Ltd. have reached a deal to reshape KT Maritime Services Australia Pty Ltd. (KTM) from a 50/50 joint venture to a full subsidiary of the KOTUG group.
