Delivery GDF Suez Neptune
The first shuttle and regasification vessel (SRV) co-owned by Höegh LNG and Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL) was completed at Samsung Heavy Industries in South Korea, and was delivered to the GDF Suez group on November 30, 2009. It will serve on a long-term charter contract between the parties. MOL Contract with Jiangsu Shagang Group
Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. announced that MOL became the first overseas shipowner to sign a long-term iron ore transport contract with Jiangsu Shagang Group Co., Ltd. of China on October 19. MOL will transport iron ore from Australia and Brazil to Jiangsu Shagang. A 207,000-tonne iron ore carrier, to be constructed at the Universal Shipbuilding Corporation for the contract, is scheduled for completion in late 2011.
MOL Strengthens Ties with China’s Baosteel
Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. announced an agreement with China’s Baosteel Group Corporation to further strengthen the companies’ cooperative relationship. The agreement was reached at an October 13 meeting between MOL President Ashida and Baosteel President He Wenbo at Baosteel headquarters in Shanghai. MOL presented a model of the 300,000-ton iron ore carrier Baosteel Elaboration to Baosteel as well.

MOL Renews Lease for LA Container Terminal
Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL, President: Akimitsu Ashida) announced that its wholly owned terminal operator TraPac, Inc. (Headquarters: Los Angeles, California, U.S.) renewed its long-term lease contract for a container terminal at the Port of Los Angeles. MOL Helps Typhoon Victims in Luzon
Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. President Akimitsu Ashida announced a donation of $40,000 to relief efforts for the victims of Typhoon Ketsana that struck the Philippines at the end of September. The company expressed its heartfelt sympathy for the disaster victims, and said it hopes they can return to normal life as soon as possible. MOL is making the donation through Manila-based Magsaysay-Mitsui O.S.K. Marine, Inc., which provides recruitment and training of seafarers.
