The World Shipping (China) Summit will be held in Xiamen, China, on 19-21 September 2012: theme 'Sharing an Orderly Market'

China represents one of the fastest growing economies, exercises significant cargo control in the main segments of the shipping industry and is thus of tremendous importance to international shipping. Moreover, China is a respected and highly valued contributor to setting standards for the industry and a significant ship-owning and shipbuilding country.

At the summit Mr Yudhishthir D. Khatau, President of BIMCO and Mr Torben C, Skaanild, Secretary General of BIMCO will be delivering addresses.

World Shipping (China) Summit is an annual event for the international shipping community. By attracting high-level participants and wide attention around the world, it has contributed greatly to promoting communication and exchange of views in the world of shipping and other related industries.

The theme for the 2012 World Shipping (China) Summit is “Sharing an Orderly Market”.
