SHIPPINGInsight 2014 Agenda Announced
Annual Conference, Exhibition and Networking Event Brings Together Shipowners and Technology Companies to Address Practical Solutions for Efficient Operations
The organizers of SHIPPINGInsight 2014 report that the agenda has been finalized and all speaking positions and sponsorships have been 100 percent filled.
Now entering its third year, SHIPPINGInsight is a technical and ship operations conference, exhibition and networking event. It will take place Sept. 30-Oct. 2 at the Sheraton Hotel in Stamford, Conn.
SHIPPINGInsight 2014 will encompass two events: the one-day Marine LNG Symposium Sept. 30, followed by the two-day Fleet Optimization Conference & Exhibition Oct. 1-2. Attendees can register for either event or for the full three days.
“We have an exciting lineup planned for SHIPPINGInsight 2014, with three keynoters, three guest speakers, nine panel sessions, two roundtables, 39 panelists and speakers, 14 networking events, 23 sponsors, three supporting organizations and more than 25 exhibitors,” said Frank Soccoli, conference co-director. “Importantly, we have commitments from more than 30 senior executives at major shipping companies who have agreed to participate as moderators or speakers.”
“This is a unique opportunity to broaden your horizons, learn from experts and network with your peers from across the shipping industry,” said Jim Rhodes, conference co-director. “If you’re involved in the shipping industry, this is one event you can’t afford to miss.”
“We expect up to 200 registered attendees at this year’s SHIPPINGInsight,” Rhodes added. “We encourage everyone to register online now and save up to $400 in early-bird discounts.”
Rhodes also noted that the Sheraton Hotel is holding rooms at a special SHIPPINGInsight rate. Attendees should book rooms early, since it’s likely the hotel will be fully booked for the event.
The Marine LNG Symposium will focus on all aspects of LNG propulsion, including infrastructure and bunkering, regulatory issues, designing and building LNG-fueled ships, retrofitting for LNG and crew training. It will also include an open-discussion roundtable of experts representing the different industry stakeholders.
The Fleet Optimization Conference addresses technical solutions to reduce operating costs and improve efficiency in ship and fleet operation. It will include focused panel sessions, case histories and an interactive Ship Telematics Roundtable of experts addressing connectivity, data collection, analytics and integration of ship systems and the shoreside IP infrastructure.
Leading technology suppliers will showcase their products and services in the exhibit hall. There are a limited number of spaces still available, and any company interested in taking a booth should contact Frank Soccoli at [email protected].
