TWMA has announced the appointment of Tom Trigg as Global Technical Advisor.

Based at TWMA’s Houston office, Trigg will help advance improvements in oil and gas drilling waste treatment and footprint reduction. He will also support the global sales and technical team with his in depth technical knowledge about current industry practices.

Trigg has 42 years of experience in the upstream oil and gas drilling industry and an extensive background in improvement of operational performance of drilling fluid and reduction of drilling waste footprint.

He recently retired from ExxonMobil, where he was most recently Drilling’s Global Environmental Coordinator. During his career, Trigg held a variety of both technical and operational management positions and participated in ExxonMobil’s Gulf of Mexico and global drilling activity in fluid and environmental advisory and coordination capacities.

“I’ve been following TWMA’s success and solutions for years,” Trigg said. “I’m really passionate about this work and helping to advance the industry. TWMA’s unique techniques and capabilities remove and recover for reuse essentially all of the non-aqueous base fluids and water from the waste stream. It’s really exciting and I look forward to educating the industry about this innovative solution to treat drilling wastes at site.”

TWMA recently launched a U.S. expansion and an extensive recruitment program with the opening of the company’s newest manufacturing base in Houston. The company has already won several U.S. contracts with oil and gas operators and is set for further global expansion.

“Mr. Trigg’s technical experience will be extremely beneficial as TWMA continues to expand in the United States and around the world,” said Ian Nicolson, TWMA’s Vice President of the Americas. “His dedication to and enthusiasm for the drilling industry makes him a valuable asset to TWMA and will help support our ambitious growth plans.”
