Transas HQ Moved to Ireland

As of July 2003, the International Headquarters of the marine IT specialist, Transas, has moved to Cork, Ireland. The move to Ireland is a logical consequence of the company’s ongoing expansion into international markets. Today Transas is represented in some 90 countries worldwide with more Transas offices to be established within the coming months. As the center of international commercial operations Ireland has the advantage of being located in the euro zone and offers a strong base of experienced, well-educated personnel from which to staff its operations. The services that will be coordinated from the new Transas HQ in Cork include Business Services, Sales & Marketing, Project Management, Technical Support, IT and Corporate Administration, Financial Management, Logistics and Order Fulfillment. Sven Rasmussen, Director of Sales & Marketing, commented on the move: "We've decided to go to Cork with our new Headquarters after a very thorough consideration of all the factors involved. The existing Transas office in Portsmouth will host the growing Transas UK team, which requires more spacious facilities to meet the increasing demands of its customers in the UK, Iceland, Southern Europe and the Mediterranean area.
