New Veslink Premium OnBoard and Agent Portal

Maritime Activity Reports, Inc.

June 7, 2010

At The Posidonia 2010 International Shipping Exhibition, Veson Nautical, provider of Maritime Enterprise Resource Planning (Maritime-ERP) solutions and services, announced two modules for its automated communication service: Veslink Premium OnBoard and Veslink Agent Portal. These two Veslink additions offer shippers, vessel personnel, office staff and port agents a configurable web-based service for collecting and exchanging data vital to successful shipping operations.

Veslink Premium OnBoard enables two-way communication between the vessel and onshore office for the collection of vessel reports including position/noon, port activity, departure, and custom reports.  All reports are submitted and routed via the web or email to onshore company offices and can also be sent to port authority and agents.  Premium OnBoard simplifies, manages and automates the complex data that is required for port calls.

The Veslink Agent Portal module offers a direct, secure, quality-controlled link between IMOS and a company’s affiliates such as Port Agents who need access to enter operational data. The solution includes a configurable security model that supports integration with IMOS and other agent specific portals.

Veslink Agent Portal consolidates all data entry into a secure, password protected online web portal. Agents access their assigned port calls and enter their data into the portal. Agent port data can be fed directly into a Veslink database and the information is uploaded immediately to IMOS6. The result is more efficient back office processes, elimination of data re-keying and reduced manual errors.

Veslink Offline Forms is an e-mail based offering that is ideal for Time Charter or SPOT vessel operations. It requires no software installation on board and is not dependant on the Web. Forms, which can be configured for each company, fleet or vessel’s requirement and can range from noon reports to cargo handling reports to port authority notices, are submitted via email to IMOS. The email is automatically read by Veson’s Veslink and the data is fed directly into IMOS.  The result is less work for both office and vessel staff through the elimination of data re-keying and reduced manual errors.
