Quebec City, Canada: The Hong Kong-flagged bulker Aptmariner was sailing to Quebec City, Canada, for repairs to damage caused by its grounding in St. Mary's river on May 5, Reuters reported. The 31,200 dwt vessel also struck fixed aids numbers 29 and 32 in the river resulting in starboard side hull damage and flooding in its forepeak and number one starboard double bottom ballast tank. After the bulker was refloated a damage survey discovered a 70-foot long crease about three feet high and one to two feet deep along the starboard side of the forepeak and ballast tank.
