Cyber Attack Hits 17 APM Container Terminals
Seventeen shipping container terminals run by APM Terminals have been hacked, including two in Rotterdam and 15 in other parts of the world, Dutch broadcaster RTV Rijnmond reported on Wednesday. APM Terminals is a subsidiary of shipping giant Maersk , which has confirmed it is suffering from a cyber attack. APM's website was difficult to reach and phones at its headquarters in The Hague and offices in Rotterdam went unanswered.

New Australian Navy Vessel Arrives in Home Port
Completing her maiden voyage, the Damen Multi-role Aviation Training Vessel (MATV) MV Sycamore arrived in Sydney harbor early on Monday morning. BW Group Completes VLCC Deliveries to DHT
DHT Holdings, Inc. said it has taken delivery of nine VLCCs acquired from the BW Group Limited, as well as the contracts for two VLCC newbuilds due for delivery in 2018. Norway has become the first nation to implement maritime broadband communication on ships and planes in public service, enabling exchange of information that can be crucial in limiting damage when accidents occur. Kongsberg Seatex and Radionor have teamed up to develop Maritime Broadband Radio (MBR), which the Norwegian companies say is, in contrast to previous systems, highly stable and has extensive reach. Higher Vessel Rates Prop Up Baltic Index
The Baltic Exchange's main sea freight index, tracking rates for ships carrying dry bulk commodities, rose on Tuesday, helped by a rise in rates across all vessel segments. Maersk Says It's Been Cyber Attacked
Shipping giant A.P. Moller-Maersk, which handles one out of seven containers shipped globally, said the Petya cyber attack had caused outages at its computer systems across the world on Tuesday.
