New Navy Ship -- JHSV -- to Drop Anchor in St. Petersburg
The Navy's first Joint High-Speed Vessel, USNS Spearhead (JHSV 1), is scheduled to visit the Port of St. Petersburg beginning Sunday, Feb. 10. The ship will remain in port until its departure Tuesday afternoon. The port call is primarily a working visit and an opportunity for senior officials and military personnel from U.S. Central Command and U.S. Special Operations Command to visit the ship and receive short briefings on Spearhead's capabilities.
ABB Wins $160 Million in Orders
ABB won orders worth $160m from Jurong Shipyard Pte Ltd. for the design, supply, supervision of installation, testing and commissioning of the main electrical systems for seven next generation drill ships that will operate in the deep water oil and gas fields off the coast of Brazil. The orders were booked in the fourth quarter of last year and first quarter of this year. The ships will be used to drill wells in the enormous offshore pre-salt fields off the southeast coast of Brazil.

'Emma Maersk' Likely Months Out of Service
Palle Laursen, Head of Ship Management for Maersk Line, shares the latest update on the 'Emma Maersk' Suez incident. Initial inspections by divers show that the water ingress was caused by damage to one of the stern thrusters.
