G6 Alliance Makes Seasonal Service Change

Pacific Atlantic 2 service has temporarily stopped calling European ports due to a seasonal change in market demand. The service portfolio between Asia and North America East Coast continues unchanged.


Members of the G6 Alliance have adjusted one of its Pacific Atlantic services in response to seasonal changes in market demand. The Pacific Atlantic 2 (PA2) service will temporarily stop calling European ports, and instead turn around on the U.S. East Coast. The service portfolio between Asia and North America East Coast continues unchanged.


After the service adjustment, the port rotation of the PA2 service will be:
Kaohsiung – Busan – Kobe – Tokyo – Balboa – Panama – Colon Manzanillo – Miami – Jacksonville – Savannah – Charleston – New York – Norfolk – Charleston – Colon Manzanillo – Panama – Balboa – San Pedro – Oakland – Tokyo – Kobe – Kaohsiung


The schedule changes are as follow:

Last sailing of PA2 service heading to Europe on the APL Egypt 072E:

  • ETA Kaohsiung 16 November 2014
  • ETA New York 19 December 2014

Last sailing of PA2 service from Europe on the APL Egypt 072W:

  • ETA Rotterdam 28 December 2014
  • ETA New York 10 January 2015

First sailing of adjusted PA2 service on the APL Garnet 064E:

  • ETA Kaohsiung 23 November 2014
  • ETA Miami 21 December 2014
  • ETA New York 26 December 2014
     

First sailing of adjusted PA2 service starting from New York as turn port on the APL Garnet 064W:

  • ETA New York 26 December 2014

The G6 Alliance continues to offer a variety of services between North America East Coast and Europe covering all major port pairs with weekly sailings. Additional service adjustments will be made where necessary to meet market demand. The G6 Alliance also offers a wide range of services on the Asia-U.S. West Coast and the Asia-Europe trade lanes.


The G6 Alliance members are APL, Hapag-Lloyd, Hyundai Merchant Marine, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Nippon Yusen Kaisha and Orient Overseas Container Line.
