Ships' lifting Apparatus at Abu Dhabi Ports

Abu Dhabi Ports have informed that they reserves the right to refuse the use of ships' lifting apparatus without valid certification and / or if the apparatus is assessed by the HSE inspectors to be substandard due to, amongst other things:

- Crane malfunctions that includes the crane hydronic system and pneumatic system.

- Outreach of crane is not fulfilling the operational requirement.

- Failure in control systems.

- Failure in emergency stop function.

- Failure of crane wire / cable.

- Power supply problems / potential problems.

- Corrosion / Long-term abrasion.

- Bent or cracked hooks.

- Absence of hook safety latch.

If a ship's lifting apparatus is rejected, the ship agent will be requested to use the available mobile shore cranes of Abu Dhabi Ports.
