IYC Names its Brokers of the Year

International Yacht Collection (IYC) iannounced that Frank Grzeszczak and Barbara Stork Landeweer are the company’s  2013 Yacht Broker and Charter Brokers of Year, respectively. Representative of a banner year for IYC, both brokers played a pivotal role in promoting the superyacht lifestyle and helping their clients achieve results in the global market.

“I have the privilege to again congratulate Frank and Barbara on their exceptional performance,” said Bob Saxon, IYC President. “This is Barbara’s third consecutive year being recognized as the leader in IYC’s yacht charter division; Frank has been awarded the title numerous times as well. They have realized tremendous success internationally in a marketplace that is both demanding and rewarding.”

Having built a 25-year career in preowned and new construction yacht sales, Frank Grzeszczak has been with IYC since 2007. His criterion for success has always been based on three fundamental principles: knowledge of product, honesty and integrity. More, his strong work ethic blends reliability, diligence and professionalism with an understanding that team work encompasses both client service and respect for one’s fellows in industry. This has garnered Frank great esteem with his clients and his worldwide network of yacht brokers.

A native of North Carolina, Frank spent his formative years on and around yachts. Frank had the insight to realize that true success in life comes to those who do what they love; therefore, after graduating from Elon University in North Carolina, Frank felt it was only natural to combine his college business degree with his passion: yachting. He then moved to Florida where he’s lived since.

Barbara landed her first yachting job at Fraser, learning the business and ultimately deciding that being a yacht charter broker was for her. “It was also at Fraser that I met my husband Peter, who has a great love of the ocean, being a fisherman and sportfishing yacht builder. Because of him, I too am devoted to the sea. Now, boating and fishing are at the top of the things I love to do.”

After many years in the yachting business, Barbara joined The Sacks Group Yachting Professionals, joining IYC when the firm acquired Sacks.

To support her quest to provide the best luxury vacation charter experience possible, Barbara travels extensively each year and attends major annual charter shows including Genoa, Antigua, Newport and Greece. She and her husband spend time aboard their boat cruising the Bahamas and Florida.

“I think that my success is based on my support team at work and home and the fact that I love what I do,” she said.
