Royal Caribbean Cruises predicted on cruise booking levels for 2001 would match or beat last year's figures. "We think we will do as well as we did last year, and may even do better," Richard Glasier, chief financial officer at RCCL said. He said that so far booking levels have surpassed the previous year's and the number of cancellations was not increasing in spite of the U.S. economic slowdown. New products, new harbors and new destinations would increase demand, Glasier said. RCCL has a fleet of 19 ships, with 10 more being built. Four ot these new ships will be delivered in 2001. - (Reuters)
