Maritime Activity Reports, Inc.

June 8, 2018

After a long break, CJSC Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company has restored its operation in foreign waters in 2014 by the respective order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and took series of effective measures in this regard.

In the past four years, number of vessels sailing outside Caspian basin – in the Sea of Azov, Black Sea and Mediterranean Sea increased by 13, out of which 11 are dry cargo vessels, while 2 are tankers. These vessels floating under our three-colors flag are operated by companies “Caspdry” and “Casptankers” established by the Caspian Shipping Company in Turkey.

All these testify to the fact that CJSC Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company managed to strengthen its position in foreign waters to the great extent. Nowadays, main target of Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company is to develop into a leading company in liquid and cargo transportations.

Indeed, measures actively taken by Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company and country’s steady development have contributed to increased opportunities for Azerbaijani sailors in international waters. Of course, it has direct impact on strengthening of staff potential and development of highly professional sailors in the Caspian Shipping Company.

One more successful step was taken by CJSC Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company to expand and strengthen its operation in international waters.  From now on, the Company will have a representative office in Athena, a capital city of Greece located on key sea transport routes.

Opening ceremony of the newly established representative office was attended by Eldar Aliyev, charge d’Affaires of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Greece, representative of international classification companies, staff members of the Caspian Shipping Company and businesses.
