New Windfarm Support Catamaran for UK Port Base
Mainprize Offshore to take delivery of fast catamaran windfarm support vessel from South Boats Shipyard
The US$ 1.8-million GBPDS catanaran, built at South Boats Shipyard in Cowes, Isle of Wight, UK, named Dalby Derwent, is 17.5 metres long, constructed of aluminium and will be used to carry wind turbine technicians to and from the wind farm sites, and to deliver fuel and cargo to the wind turbines and associated offshore installations. The Dalby Derwent can carry up to 12 passengers with a crew of 3, and can lift upt ot 8 tonnes of cargo.
