Hanjin Heavy Receives Containership Orders

Hanjin Heavy Industries & Construction Co. received an order to build two container vessels from A.P. Moeller-Maersk A/S for $124m. The vessels will each carry 3,100 20-ft. standard containers and will be delivered by the end of September 2009 to A.P. Moeller. Hanjin Heavy exceeded its goal to secure orders amounting to $1.5b with the A.P. Moeller-Maersk A/S contract. The dockyard has an order backlog to build about 50 ships valued at about $4.6b.
