Continental Launches VDO Camera Systems
Continental Commercial Vehicles & Aftermarket, manufacturer and supplier of VDO OE-engineered instrumentation and replacement parts for the marine market, released new VDO Camera Systems for a marine applications. VDO Camera Systems aim to eliminate blind spots around the boat and improve overall maneuverability. Offered in several variants as complete kits and components, these cameras and monitors are feature remote viewing of engine rooms, and offer visibility both inside and outside the boat.
The VDO Camera Systems are available with either 5.6” or 7” color display monitors (single and quad screen display) that offer normal / mirror modes, 100% waterproof housing, vibration resistance, and infrared LEDs for nighttime vision. The complete program includes mini cameras, rear view cameras for aft viewing and side view cameras. Rear view and side view cameras are available with LEDs for enhanced nighttime viewing. Rear view cameras offer optional audio input as well. Extension cables are sold separately in 16, 33 and 65 ft. lengths.
Several camera kit models are also available, including 5.6” display monitor and mini camera with docking guidelines, 7” single display monitor with mini camera with docking guidelines, and a 7” quad display monitor with two side mount cameras and one mini camera with docking guidelines.
