SeaArk Marine Awarded Contract

SeaArk Marine, aluminum work and patrol boat builder, was recently awarded a contract to built six 40 ft. Dauntless Class patrol boats by the U.S. Navy. The SeaArks are being purchased by the Department of Defense, in support of the PERU Riverine Program. The contract will be administered by the Naval Sea System Command. The vessels will be in operation in Peru on the Amazon River and other river systems. The Peruvian Coast Guard will use the boats for patrol and drug interdiction. Each SeaArk will be outfitted with twin diesel inboard engines, extensive electronics package, berthing for four, galley, head with shower and weapons mounts. Delivery is scheduled to begin in June 2000, with the last boat to be delivered in November 2000.
