Boston Business Journal has reported that Foster Miller, based in Waltham, Mass., will work with a Vermont firm on a so-called "boat trap" system. The company said in a release that the boat trap is a ballistic net that can be dropped from a helicopter to ensnare the propeller of the target boat. The system can be used when bullets and shells pose a threat to bystanders and noncombatants in crowded harbors, the company said.
