Kroli Wins New Contracts

Kroli, SF Marina's distributor in Iceland, has entered into an agreement with Loftorku Borgarnesi to manufacture SF Marina's signature floating concrete docks.  The strategic move to manufacture locally has created significantly more business for Kroli.

Shortly after the Kroli/Loftorka agreement was signed, a committee representing the capital of Iceland announced that Kroli had won the contract for three installations in the Reykjavik and Akranes harbors.  Kroli provided a total of nearly 600' of docks from Loftorku, as well as 45 mooring arms, electric pedestals and Seaflex mooring. Nordurbugt, in the old Reykjavik harbor, was fitted with 328' of SF 1035 pontoons, including a center coupling at a T-connection, ducts for utility pedestals, 26' steel fingers and Seaflex mooring.

In addition to the six concrete SF 1030 pontoons Kroli installed in the Akranes harbor in 2006, Kroli has added 262' of SF 1035 pontoons fitted with a center coupling.  They are designed to attenuate towering waves caused by the area's extremely high winds.  All the pontoons are fitted with electric and water supply, 26' and 32' steel fingers and Seaflex mooring.

For Austurbugt in the Reykjavik harbor, Kroli supplied 32' steel fingers.  Further cementing the relationship with Iceland's major harbors, SF Marina and Kroli have provided ongoing maintenance to the installations over the past 30 years.
