Tideland Names DSS Master Canadian Distributor

Tideland Signal Corporation (Tideland) appointed DSS Marine Incorporated (DSS) as the master distributor for the Canadian market. Effective immediately, DSS will distribute, support sales and provide service of Tideland products to all Canadian customers through four locations across the country.

With the appointment of DSS, Tideland expands its reach in providing global navigation aid. Matt Scheuing, CEO of Tideland, confirmed the selection of DSS, and stated, “The addition of DSS and their Canadian locations significantly expands our coverage, and enhances the quality of service and support to our Canadian customers.”

DSS is a Canadian owned company involved in the business of importation, distribution and service of marine, environmental response and military equipment and supplies throughout Canada. The company is headquartered in a newly renovated facility, in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, and also operates regional sales and service facilities in Newfoundland, Quebec, and British Columbia. Darren Trites, President of DSS, said, “We have almost 20 years of experience working with Coast Guards, Navies, Port Authorities and Offshore oil and gas, and see this partnership with Tideland, as a natural step in the ongoing development of our company.”
