Large Yacht Fire-fighting: Upcoming Resolve Symposium

Resolve Maritime Academy informs it is to participate with industry leaders in a discussion at Roscioli Yachting Center, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on new techniques and training in fighting fires aboard large yachts.

Resolve explains that in conjuncture with MES, Bullard and PyroLance, they will be discussing large yacht shipboard firefighting methods.

As technology and techniques grow and evolve, it is important to stay abreast of current and future trends in order to minimize risk and damage.   This symposium provides an opportunity to learn about these new skills and methods directly from industry leaders.

Attendees will learn about new technology, techniques and training methods used in preventing injury, loss of life and environmental and property damage inlarge yacht shipboard firefighting.

In addition Resolve Maritime Academy, along with AIG, will be raffling off one, three-day YachtFirefighting course for land based firefighters, applicable for up to 16 firefighters (from one fire house) at Resolve’s state-of-the-art training facility in Fort Lauderdale.  The course will give land based firefighters a basic understanding of dealing with yacht fires in both dry dock and on water.

The Symposium is to be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 from 11:00 am until 12:30pm at the Roscioli Yachting Center 3201 State Road 84, Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
