GTT Bags Tank Design Work for New LNG Carrier

GTT said it has received a new order notification from the Korean shipyard Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries (HSHI) for the tank design of a new 174,000 m3 liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier, to be built on behalf of an Asian shipowner. The vessel's delivery is expected in the fourth quarter of 2020.

The vessel’s LNG tanks will be equipped with the Mark III Flex containment system developed by GTT. Philippe Berterottière, Chairman and CEO of GTT, said GTT’s Mark III Flex technology has been selected to equip almost 90 ships since its launch.
