1912 - Rear Admiral Bradley Fiske receives patent for torpedo plane or airborne torpedo.

1915 - First Navy ships, battleships Ohio, Missouri, and Wisconsin transit Panama Canal.

1945 - First atomic bomb test at Alamogordo, NM.
