ILO Discuss Conditions of Seafarers in International Registers

The International Labor Office (ILO) of the United Nations has issued a three-part report of the Meeting of Experts on Working and Living Conditions of Seafarers on board Ships in International Registers. Report provides the results of questionnaires sent to the shipping administrations of numerous countries. It addresses such issues as inspection of living and working conditions, foreign seafarers, legislation, collective bargaining agreements, recruitment, conditions of employment, repatriation, and health and welfare.
