Second International Exhibition of Shipbuilding Slated for Moscow

The second International Complex Exhibition of Shipbuilding, Water Resources Use and Exploration, “The Ocean 2012,” in Moscow November 29 through December 1,  will  address all aspects of marine activities at one venue, to combine the interests of science and manufacture, but also draw the attention of International business community to the latest developments in different spheres of exploration.

The exhibition is held under the patronage of Maritime Collequim of the Government of the Russian Federation and Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. The exhibition seeks to support the extension of the innovative and industrial cooperation with foreign countries.

At the exhibition, the leading domestic and foreign companies are presented, operating in various spheres, which are connected with the study, development and use of the ocean, its flora and fauna.

Main sections of the exhibition include: Shipbuilding and navigation; oil and gas production on the continental shelf; underwater machinery and equipment; oceanology and resources of the ocean; water bioresources and acquaculture; hydrometeorological support of human activities in the ocean; science and education; and marine law.

The main topics of round tables and seminars will be devoted to the opportunities of large-capacity shipbuilding in Russia; marine exploration and transportation; development of the continental shelf of Russia; development of the Northern sea way, which is of interest for many freighters; new projects and decisions of domestic and foreign banks in lending to the shipbuilding industry; development of coordinated policy on sunken vessels; port and hydraulic engineering construction, and other issues.
