CMA CGM Launches MEDGULF Service

The CMA CGM Group has launched of MEDGULF Service linking the Mediterranean to the U.S. Gulf and Caribbean (Dominican Republic, Jamaica).

This new service will offer weekly sailings from the Mediterranean to U.S. Gulf and Caribbean, a unique and direct rotation from Houston to Tangiers and the best transit time on the market  between Mexico and Houston, to Spain and Italy, that represents a strong advantage on the Reefer market, CMA CGM said.


MEDGULF completes the AMERIGO service that has already been operating between the Mediterranean and U.S. East Coast.

The MEDGULF service will deploy a fleet of 6 1,700 TEU vessels on the following direct weekly rotation: Tangiers, Livorno, Genoa, Barcelona, Valencia, Caucedo, Kingston, Veracruz, Altamira, Houston and Tangiers.

The first voyage will start from Livorno, on April 24, 2015.
