SENESCO Expands Management Team

Southeastern New England Shipbuilding Corporation (SENESCO) has appointed four new executives in a move prompted by the company’s growth over the past six months. The new executives include the company’s first chief financial officer and other senior level financial and operations staff. Gordon W. Fletcher, appointed as SENESCO’s first CFO, will direct the company’s financial affairs, including overseeing all contracts, developing financial statements, implementing new financial policies and procedures and supervising the accounting department. Fletcher is a CPA who received a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Natal in Durban, South Africa. While in South Africa, he worked as an audit supervisor for KPMG and as a finance manager for a construction general contractor. Edward S. Kracunas will work directly with the company president and CEO Robert Jarvis as vice president of operations. He will be responsible for all ongoing projects including planning and production, the ordering of materials and project management. Prior to joining SENESCO, Kracunas served as the senior surveyor of New England for the American Bureau of Shipping as well as production superintendent with Atlantic-Marine, Inc. Kracunas is a graduate of the Massachusetts Maritime Academy with a degree in marine engineering. He also maintains a USCG merchant marine license. Christine Mouris was appointed as accounting manager and will report to the new CFO. She will manage day-to-day financial operation to include overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and managing the company’s cash flow as well as preparing monthly financial statements and management reports. Prior to joining SENESCO, Mouris served as senior staff accountant for Northeast Utilities. Mouris received a Bachelor of Science Degree in accounting from Central State University. She is studying to receive an MBA from Quinnipac University in Hamden, Conn. As senior project manager, Jonathan S. Cutone will report to the newly appointed vice president of operation. He will manage the project management department at SENESCO, which currently consists of three senior project managers. Prior to joining SENESCO, Cutone served as a project management consultant for marine related companies. Cutone is a graduate of the University of New Orleans with a Bachelor of Science degree in naval architecture and marine engineering.
