Gulf Craft to Invest, Join Dubai Maritime Council

Dubai Maritime City (DMC) informs that superyacht builders, Gulf Craft, is to invest in Dubai Maritime City and is to join the Dubai Council for Marine and Maritime Industries.

H.E Khamis Juma Buamim, Chairman of Dubai Maritime City and the Dubai Council for Marine and Maritime industries, received H.E. Mohammed Hussein AlShaali, Chairman of Gulf Craft at the Maritime Business Centre to discuss potential cooperation between the two companies in the fields of industry, investment and development of the maritime sector.

DMC explains that the visit comes within the framework of various meetings organized by Dubai Maritime City with senior leaders in the marine sector to discuss avenues for economic & trade cooperation & to open up new markets for members & affiliates of the Dubai Council for Marine & Maritime Industries (DCMMI).

Measures were discussed on the way forward to develop & grow the yacht & boat building sector in the UAE in order to make the slogan “Made in UAE” an instantly & widely recognizable global brand. The importance of cooperation between manufacturers & service providers, regulators & funding bodies represented by the local banks & finance companies & making them aware of the benefits & advantages of the growth cycle in investments, insurance & financing in making this happen were stressed.

H.E. AlShaali stressed the importance of the visit & commented on the mutual benefits of increased investment between the two parties. The City, he said, had several industrial and economic advantages & fundamentals which allowed it to be an attractive investment option including its unique location and, excellent world-class infrastructure.

H.E. Buamim emphasized that the visit was important for forming effective and seamless network relationships with key local companies to facilitate the efficient delivery of services. He stressed on the importance of developing the marine sector & the need for increased cooperation between various parties in the sector to ensure increased & mutually beneficial outputs.
