CJ Logistics to Merge with Affiliate
CJ Logistics Corp. (CJL), South Korea’s largest parcel delivery service company under food and entertainment conglomerate CJ Group, will merge with the group’s construction arm, Yonhap said. The merger ratio will be one CJL share for every 0.54 CJ Engineering & Construction (CJEC) share, the logistics company said in a regulatory filing. MacGregor Receives Huge Order from Hyundai Heavy
MacGregor, part of Cargotec, has received an order worth $77 million (USD) for optimized cargo handling systems for five A-14-series and five A-18-series container vessels from Hyundai Heavy Industries Co. Siemens Charter Newbuild Offshore Wind Service Vessels
Siemens Energy has signed a chartering agreement with ship owner Esvagt A/S for two new offshore wind service vessels commissioned specifically for Siemens' service operations at the Butendiek and Baltic II offshore wind power plants, Germany, both of which are scheduled to come online in 2015. Rather than the floating hotels that use smaller vessels or helicopters to access the turbines, the new vessels will provide direct access using an advanced hydraulic gangway system that will work to stabilize and provide safe access to the turbines at varying wave conditions.
