BSP Contracts AqualisBraemar

Oil & natural gas company Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn Bhd (BSP) has awarded AqualisBraemar a frame agreement to conduct rig inspection services for the operator.The agreement is valid for three years with an option to extend the contract for additional periods of three times one year, said the Norway-based global company that provides, through its subsidiaries and associates, consultancy services to the energy, marine and insurance sectors.Oslo-listed AqualisBraemar – a result of the recent unification between Aqualis Offshore and Braemar Technical Services – will provide rig inspection services, engineering and training services to Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn Bhd (BSP).AqualisBraemar will manage the contract out of its office in Malaysia…

Aqualis Offshore, Skuld Maritime Agency Under Investigation in Scrapping Case

Aqualis Offshore and Norwegian Insurer Skuld Maritime Agency are under investigation for their involvement in the attempt to illegally export the Harrier to Pakistan for scrapping.NGO Shipbreaking Platform, quoting DN said that Aqualis Offshore issued two certificates for the ship – one for a break-up voyage to Pakistan, another for a voyage to Oman – and it is suspected that the latter was issued to dupe Norwegian authorities in order to circumvent the European waste export ban.Skuld Maritime Agency was involved in issuing the last-voyage insurance for the vessel and is therefore being investigated for having aided the illegal export.The former and current owners of the ship…

Aqualis Offshore has been handed the position keeping role for installation of the floating production storage offloading unit (FPSO) at Total’s Egina field offshore Nigeria.EPCIC contractor for the $3.3 billion FPSO, Samsung Heavy Industries, has awarded the position keeping work to Aqualis Offshore. Aqualis Offshore Completes Jacket Installation in Bahrain

Aqualis Offshore has completed the jacket installation engineering of an 1800T steel jacket structure offshore Bahrain as part of the Bahrain LNG Import Terminal. Aqualis Offshore, part of Oslo-listed Aqualis ASA, delivered the project in cooperation with APMC, who were in charge of the transportation and installation contract on behalf of its EPC contractor client, GS E&C. Aqualis Offshore was contracted by GS E&C to provide loadout, transport and offshore installation of the jacket. Aqualis Offshore’s scope of work provided full engineering services related to the loadout,transportation and float off operation, towing, positioning, lowering to the seabed and buoyancy tank removal, including all marine procedures. The offshore installation was executed in May 2018.

Hasuly Joins The Shearer Group

The Shearer Group, Inc. (TSGI) announced a new addition to its naval architecture, marine engineering and marine surveying firm, Anne Hasuly, P.E. Hasuly has recently joined TSGI as a naval architect. She is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Texas and holds a B.S. in Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering from the University of New Orleans. Anne is also a member of the Society of Naval Architects & Marine Engineers and the Louisiana Engineering Society. Prior to joining TSGI, Hasuly worked for Aqualis Offshore as a senior naval architect.

Aqualis Lands Audit Work for LNG Carrier

Offshore marine and engineering consultancy Aqualis Offshore, part of Oslo-listed Aqualis ASA, said it has been contracted by Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries Co. Ltd to provide an engineering study of a new-build liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier the yard is constructing for Teekay LNG. Aqualis Offshore’s work scope is to provide failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA), hazard dentification (HAZID) and hazard and operability (HAZOP) studies for the boil-off gas handling system and fuel gas system on board the vessel. Aqualis Offshore and CSDC Join Forces

Aqualis Offshore and China Ship Design & Research Center Co., Ltd (CSDC) have signed an agreement to cooperate on engineering projects both in China and internationally. CSDC, a subsidiary company of China Shipbuilding Industry Corp (CSIC), specializes in shipbuilding and offshore engineering services. Aqualis Offshore, part of Oslo-listed Aqualis ASA, is a specialized offshore marine and engineering consultancy firm, focusing on the shallow and deep-water offshore segments of the oil and gas industry. Under the agreement, Aqualis Offshore and CSDC will cooperate in the fields of engineering, project management, research, innovation and marketing. A key objective is to develop a joint engineering service to offshore newbuild projects in China and elsewhere.

Aqualis Offshore Lands Study Job for LNG Barge

Offshore marine and engineering consultancy Aqualis Offshore, part of Oslo-listed Aqualis ASA, has been contracted by Gas Entec Co. Ltd to provide an engineering study of a new-build LNG barge that will operate offshore the U.S. The contract value is undisclosed. Aqualis Offshore’s work scope is to provide a Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) study for Control and Alarm Monitoring System (CAMS), Emergency Shutdown System (ESDS), and Wireless Telemetry System installed on the 2,200 cubic meter LNG bunkering/transport barge. The LNG bunkering/transport barge will carry LNG cargo from the port facilities towards LFS (LNG Fuelled Ship) for bunkering. The LNG bunkering barge is built by Conrad Shipyard, Texas, for TOTE.
