Det Norske Employs Aveva's Solution
AVEVA announced that Det norske oljeselskap ASA (Det norske), has begun deployment of AVEVA’s Progressive Handover Solution to manage Life Cycle Information for the high profile Ivar Aasen field project. The AVEVA solution allows Det norske to benefit from improved information quality within its projects and to reduce the time it takes to access key technical information. AVEVA’s Progressive Handover Solution is made possible by AVEVA’s industry leading Digital Information Hub technology enabling Det norske to accept data from various sources, regardless of software system. By utilising dashboard reporting with its EPC, Det norske can monitor information that will be automatically and progressively updated throughout the project.

New Century Shipbuilding Acquires AVEVA Solution
AVEVA, a supplier of engineering IT solutions for the process, power, and marine industries, signed a contract to provide its design and production solutions to New Century Shipbuilding (NCS). The contract means that two of the fastest-developing, non state-owned, local shipbuilding forces in China have now signed up to and are benefitting from AVEVA’s marine solutions. NCS, located southeast of Jingjiang, will utilise AVEVA’s software to enhance its shipbuilding capabilities on its latest project – the design and manufacture of a 4250TEU Container Ship prototype, for which delivery is expected in 2007. The software will enable NCS to improve its design processes, precision management, and coordination between hull, outfitting, design and fabrication. Mr.
